When I was a child I wanted be a musician because my cousin begun his music studies at ‘’Universidad de Chile’’. I was very fortunate because always my family supported me with this decision.

When I studied my last year at the high school I considered study history. I loved music and history, but and I didn’t like the idea of being a school teacher. I thought that if studied music, I could work in other thinks like creating my music proyect and doing class, but at university. As well as, I knew musicology and believed that in this discipline I could work with music and history at the same time. For this reason I chose my mayor, ‘’Teoría de la Música’’.

 

The last year, in my first semester in the university, my opinion was changed. I had a musicology course and didn’t like it. I consider very interesting musicology, but I wouldn’t be a teacher of this. However, I love art investigation through practice music (it’s different with musicology)

I has been a been a good experience in this major. This degree have to improve a lot of things, but I could experiment with news especiality disciplines of music and meet nice people to play with.

Today, I would like to work composing and playing my music, besides teaching at university.
